Belgian painter Cassius has been exploring the infinite variations of blue. Her works, true travel diaries, incorporate sand, gravel, and fragments collected during her journeys, all sublimated under plexiglass. She experiments with oxidation, fire, and burning to give the material a vibrant depth. The monochrome, a demanding and radical exercise, becomes for her a universal language: an inward journey where simplicity reveals intensity. In February 2025, she received the Audience Award at the Art Nomadique exhibition at the Château de Borluut in Belgium.
