Erik SALIN

Erik Salin, painter, plastic sculptor, born in 1960 in Paris, lives and works in the South of France. Registered since 1999 at the Maison des Artistes, he is a renowned Custom Painter long considered by the specialized press as one of the great French references in the field. He uses all the traditional techniques of the great reference schools (painting, drawing, acrylic, watercolors, washes, trompe-l'oeil ...) which he mixes with each other, superimposes them to explore new orientations which he applies on his sculptures and creates an artistic expression of his own. Influenced by the Pop Art movement, his figurative artistic approach reflects the codes and quirks of our consumer society.

He diverts objects from their context, combines them with others, always attaching great importance to the finish and aesthetic beauty of his works. He sometimes uses it to deliver a critical message about our way of living and thinking. His bold and surprising works reflect the free and unrestrained spirit of the creator.

“This year, the use of brands in my creations is there to demonstrate the importance and influence that these have within our society through an offbeat and sometimes provocative look. »
