Looking at Christophe Ausello's paintings. The subject of Christophe Ausello's works
"Looking at Christophe Ausello's paintings. The subject matter of Christophe Ausello's works is the new world he discovers, day after day, year after year. Without any reference to anything that exists, on the fringes of official painting—neither figurative because it is imaginary, nor abstract because it is real—his paintings reveal his inner world, where signs abound, swarm, like insects leaving their traces, like plant debris, like the first elements of life—the poet Henri Michaux called this, in his writings, “life in the folds.” He himself is surprised by his output, as if, in his daily fabric of difficulties and work, these signs reveal a hidden treasure to him, and covering the paper or canvas with these mysterious signs gives him a very real joy. It is this joy that he shares with us, it is to this secret journey that he invites us.
Thank you, dear Christophe Ausello.
