Précilia Sombo, a painter of Guadeloupean and Cameroonian origin, she embodies the Afro-Caribbean essence through powerful portraits of black women forming an imaginary tribe. Her artistic gesture is distinguished by the use of arabica coffee to create shading and relief, evoking the beauty of eumelanin, a dark-colored pigment, and at the same time a sensory identity. Thus, the artist redefines the codes of contemporary painting.
