Tom Morel, a 21-year-old artist, is self-taught. He discovered woodcarving at the age of 14. Working with a gouge and a chainsaw, he creates works in which the power of the gesture meets the finesse of the detail. Inspired by nature, emotions and the balance of forms, he develops a contemporary abstract world that reveals the expressive power and authentic beauty of wood.
